Nature Uncut Tours was established in 2006 and is based in Cape Town , South Africa . Nature Uncut specialises in personalised, small-group tours with a particular emphasis on the natural environment. If getting close to wildlife or immersing yourself in natural beauty are your passion, then book a tour with us. We are passionate about nature and want to share this enthusiasm with you. We visit the main tourist attractions of the region as well as selected cultural activities, but our tours always include areas of superior natural beauty and interest. The length of our tours varies from 1-day tours to our longer 'Nature Safaris' of up to 3 weeks or more! All of our tours are guided by qualified guides with a background in ecology. Since we cater mainly for small groups, we ensure that you receive an in-depth and enriching tour experience. Depending on your interests, we offer general nature tours (which include a bit of everything) or specialised tours with a particular focus e.g. birding, game viewing tours. We also offer photography tours where we ensure that photographic opportunities are maximised.

Pepe Jones, owner of Nature Uncut Tours, resides in Cape Town , South Africa . She obtained a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Science and Archaeology at the University of Cape Town in 1998. She then practiced as an Environmental Scientist for four years in the engineering industry before joining a specialised birding tour company as a guide and joint operations manager. In July 2006 she started Nature Uncut Tours, which focuses on providing customised nature and wildlife experiences in Southern Africa . She is registered as a Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP and is a THETA-accredited tour guide. She is a passionate nature-lover and her tours generally have an emphasis on the natural environment (including birds, mammals, geology and oceanography) and local culture/ history. Pepe also has a keen interest in photography, especially landscape and bird photography, and enjoys guiding tours where photography is a focus. Ince Erasmus, based in Cape Town , completed a BSC degree in Nature Conservation, Botany and Geography in 2000. Since then, she has been operating a responsible eco-tourism company, The Eco-ist, which provides tailor-made nature experiences with a particular focus on botany. Nature Uncut works closely with The Eco-ist and certain tours are managed and co-guided by both Pepe and Ince. The Eco-ist belongs to several associations, including the South African Tourism Services Association (SATSA), Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), Botanical Society of South Africa (BOTSOC) and the Cape Tourist Guide Association (CTGA). Ince is passionate about sharing the hidden gems of the Cape Floral Kingdom (a recently proclaimed World Heritage Site) and the wealth of natural beauty found at the tip of the African continent. |

Marie Midcalf, studied film editing at AFDA in Cape Town, where she obtained a Degree in Motion Picture Medium. Marie currently runs her own film editing business and assists Nature Uncut in the development of promotional materials, marketing, and administrative support, where necessary. Marie has a passion for nature travel, particularly wildlife, birdwatching and stargazing, and occassionally assists in guiding larger tour groups. In the future, Nature Uncut hopes to produce nature travel documentaries in conjunction with Marie and her business. |
