It also includes some unique wildlife experiences, such as a visit to the Africat Foundation, which focuses on monitoring cheetahs and leopards. NAMIBIA'S NATURAL HIGHS SAFARI (13 DAYS)
       

This tour is a condensed version of our 3-week Namibia and Okavango Safari, and has been especially designed for those wishing to experience all the main highlights of Namibia within a 2-week period. Namibia is a fascinating 'Land of Contrasts' - from the dramatic dunes of the Namib Desert and the Skeleton Coast to the world-famous Etosha Pan, teeming with large game and remarkable birdlife. Beginning and ending in Windhoek, this tour includes the spectacular Sossusvlei, the mysterious Swakopmund coast, some of the fascinating rock formations which make Namibia famous, the Etosha National Park as well as the world-renowned Africat Foundation at Okonjima, a unique wildlife experience where we encounter cheetahs and leopards in their natural habitat. This itinerary aims to capture the beauty and diversity of Namibia, whilst incorporating some of the best wildlife-viewing available in Africa. The tour ends with an optional balloon trip over the Namib.

OVAHIMBA RENDEZVOUS (7 DAYS)

       

The focus of this tour is to visit the Ovahimba, an extraordinary tribe located in the far northern region of Namibia . In spite of marginalisation through the centuries, these beautiful people have largely maintained their rich cultural heritage and semi-nomadic lifestyle. On this tour, we will visit an Ovahimba village, where we will be introduced to the Himba way of life, from hunting and pastoralism to their traditional dress and beautiful jewellery. En route, we will also enjoy some of the cultural and natural assets of this fascinating and diverse country - from the world-famous rock engravings at Twyfelfontein to the desert elephants of the Hoanib Valley , cascading Epupa Falls and beautiful Hobatere Game Reserve, home to elephant, lion and leopard.

FOLLOWING THE SAN (8 DAYS)

       

In this tour we visit the remote Bushmanland, where we will encounter the San people (otherwise known as "Bushmen"). These small hunter-gatherers have developed ingenious methods of surviving in extremely harsh and arid conditions. After being introduced to their culture and learning some of their fascinating survival skills, we will make our way to the Caprivi Strip, where we will explore its pristine game reserves, teeming with large game and birdlife. The tour ends at the spectacular Victoria Falls , "the smoke that thunders", where you will be taken to the lodging of your choice. This is a camping tour for those wanting an adventurous and authentic nature experience. The tour is conducted by experienced guides, is fully catered and tenting/ camping equipment is supplied.
