KRUGER AND MPUMALANGA NATURE SAFARI (14 DAYS)

This tour is aimed at those wanting the ultimate African mammal and bird safari while enjoying some of the most magnificent scenery in Southern Africa. This 14-day tour includes 8 days in the world-famous Kruger National Park, which boasts an incredible 150 mammals and over 500 bird species! Here, we hope to see elephant, lion, cheetah, leopard, rhino, various antelope species, crocodile, hippo and many others. In addition to the “Big 5” we should also encounter some spectacular birdlife including bee-eaters, rollers, kingfishers, cuckoos, hornbills, eagles (including Bateleur), vultures, owls, turacos, storks, and many others. On this tour we also explore the spectacular eastern escarpment, known as The Panorama, with its awe-inspiring canyons, caves and waterfalls, and an area with a rich and fascinating history. We also visit the Mpumalanga Highlands, with its fast-flowing streams brimming with trout.

This tour along the West Coast of South Africa and the world-renowned Namaqualand offers the ultimate wildflower experience! This tour is normally conducted in August and September when the wildflowers are in full bloom, but the region is worth visiting at any time of the year. The tour includes some spectacular coastal scenery, birdlife, plantlife, game and cultural experiences, all of which can be enjoyed throughout the year. If you are looking for tranquility, this is the perfect tour for you, as most of the places we visit are rather “off the beaten track”. Crisp, clean air and beautiful night skies are a certainty. In Spring, the area really comes alive, when wildflowers of every description cover the valleys in carpets of colour. Please note that this tour must be booked very early for the flower season.

This combined nature and cultural tour incorporates all the main highlights of the Western Cape, including its spectacular coastline, rugged mountains, diverse fauna and flora, majestic winelands and its charming historical character. If you are staying in or near to Cape Town and would like a tour which captures the essence of the Western Cape region, with its renowned natural and cultural assets, then this is the tour for you. Depending on the amount of time you have available, we offer two versions of this tour - a 5-day or a 7-day version. The longer tour follows roughly the same itinerary as the 5-day option, but includes Agulhas - the southern-most tip of Africa!

This tour is the extended version of our 5-day Overberg and Winelands Tour. By extending the tour by two nights, you will have the opportunity of visiting Agulhas, the southern-most tip of Africa and the dividing point between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. This tour also includes a night in the picturesque and serene village of Swellendam, South Africa’s third oldest settlement, nestled at the foot of the high Langeberg Mountains..
DRAKENSBERG TO DURBAN NATURE SAFARI (7 DAYS)

The Kwazulu-Natal region incorporates some of the most spectacular scenery in South Africa, from the high peaks of the Drakensberg to the azure waters of the St Lucia estuary. It also includes world-renowned game reserves, such as Hluhluwe-Umfolozi, where we will have the opportunity of seeing some of Africa’s big game and some remarkable birdlife. We start our adventure high in the Drakensberg, before descending to Natal midlands where numerous battlefields bear witness to some of the violent clashes between the Zulus, British and Afrikaners. We then make our way coastwards via the lush indigenous forests of Eshowe, with their rich birdlife, and the magnificent Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, to St Lucia, a RAMSAR protected wetland. We end our tour at Durban, South Africa’s “Holiday City”.
