Stunning floral displays, beautiful mountain and coastal landscapes, birdlife, photography
This tour takes us up the West Coast of South Africa into the world-renowned Namaqualand, to experience its spectacular annual display of wildflowers. This tour is normally conducted between late July and early September, when the flowers are in full bloom, but the region is also worth visiting at other times of the year. In the Spring, daisies, vygies and bulbs of every description cover the valleys in carpets of colour. Nowhere else in the world is there such a diversity of succulents or bulbs. Besides the magnificent flowers, this tour includes some spectacular coastal and mountain scenery, a variety of wildlife, waterfalls, rock art sites and stunning night skies. Please note that this tour must be booked well in advance for the flower season.
